FAQs

Is Dr Aditya Pradhan CGHS empanelled?

Yes. Consultations and procedures with Dr Aditya Pradhan at Venkateshwar Hospital, Dwarka are CGHS approved, and the hospital is also on most major corporate and TPA panels. Bring your CGHS card and referral to the OPD; the front desk will confirm the applicable package before admission.

How soon can I get an appointment for a cancer second opinion?

Same-week OPD slots are kept aside for cancer screening and second opinions. Call or WhatsApp +91 98735 91114 with your reports — biopsy report, PSA value, CT or MRI films — and the team will schedule the earliest available consultation, usually within three to five working days.

Is robotic surgery better than open surgery for prostate cancer?

For prostate cancer confined to the gland, robotic radical prostatectomy on the da Vinci Xi generally means less blood loss, smaller incisions, a shorter hospital stay and faster return to normal activity than open surgery, with comparable cancer control in experienced hands. The magnified 3D view also helps in preserving the nerves responsible for continence and erections. Whether it is right for you depends on your stage, prostate size and previous surgery — that judgment is made in consultation.

What should I bring to a first consultation for a urological cancer?

Bring any imaging you already have (CT, MRI, ultrasound films and CDs, not just the reports), the histopathology or biopsy slides and block if a biopsy has been done, recent blood tests including PSA for prostate cases and creatinine for kidney cases, a list of current medicines, and your CGHS or insurance card. Having the original slides available matters because a review of the pathology sometimes changes the stage and therefore the plan.
